Biography
Valentin Vollmer, born 1979 in Germany, attended the Waldorf School in Essen and studied social work and social pedagogy in Cologne. For about 7 years he was working as a volunteer for Steinschleuder e.V., he organized work camps in Brazil, Tanzania and Senegal.
The Diploma Thesis on “Finding Identity in the Time of Globalisation” gave an important background to continue working with International youth projects. As a result of that he cofounded IDEM – Identity through Initiativean international Network to support youth initiative and projects. At the moment he is a fulltime coordinating co-worker of this association in Basel, Switzerland, working with workcamps, trainings for youth, information Workshops and presentations as well as project support for small initiatives.
