Daniel Evaeus

Daniel Evaeus is a craftsman living and working in Ytterjärna, Sweden.

His interest in wood and instruments brought him to a violin making apprenticeship in the Alps. Afterwards, he participitad in YIP to explore his interest in people and society. These two threads of crafts and society now weave together in his work. The Swedish craft tradition of “slöjd” is also a source of inspiration. To make what one needs from local materials can give a sense of meaning and empowerment, something Daniel enjoys sharing with others. At YIP Daniel hosts participants in woodwork during the weekly creative sessions.
