Almost silence. It came like the moment after a warm thunderstorm passes over and the birds come out from cover. It fell upon the place like a stealthy blanket, somewhat bewildering, but graceful and soothing. Before it arrived, a wave of nearly overwhelming energy walked beside the awareness that a culmination was approaching and stayed with everyone until the end. In the midst of appreciative goodbyes, this energy allowed sheets to be washed, floors to be scrubbed, chalk that had built up over the year to be scraped from the taps and bags to be packed. And within the frothy chaos of the crashing wave, it allowed important meetings to find their time; exposing and examining relationships that had been formed upon the foundation of constant change; meetings to witness the transformation in each other, to recognize the importance of each role fulfilled and to acknowledge the vast possibilities when Will meets World. Then, slowly but surely, two by two and one by one, the exodus began, back to long-ago homes, new adventures and walks into the unknown. Suddenly, in the unbroken and mysterious paradox of time, time that holds eternity in the snap of two fingers, in the heart of Swedish summer, Ytterjärna was almost silent.
Initiative Forum 2015 – Freesponsibility
Thank you, thank you, thank you, to all who supported from near or far in making the 2015 Initiative Forum – Freesponsibility a complete success! With two hundred souls gathered here from thirty different countries all across the world, some kind of magic
really did happen. Magic in the form of new relationships and collaborations, magic in the explorations and developments of
existing projects and magic in what happens when a space is 
opened for people to celebrate being alive. Important questions were raised that I hope will continue being discussed. YIP7 did an incredible job putting the event together and were supported amazingly by the Alumni that represented themselves. What will the future bring?

So, the seventh chapter of the YIP story has come to a close, and what a saga it has been. Remember when the smells of summer slowly begin to turn to autumn and the lazy Scandinavian sunset turned the evening sky to fire? Remember the cold, dark, wet winter, when the sun set at 2:45 in the afternoon? How about when the first little signs of spring poked their way through the composted soil and the first slivers of bashful sunlight peered behind stubborn clouds? And what about when the warmth returned to those same slivers and we could finally, finally (finally!) take our Fika while basking on benches? If you doremember, than I think you’ll agree that it has been quite the journey. Thank you all for being here. Thank you for being willing to embrace the craziness and challenge in becoming part of this network and for challenging YIP to continue its evolution. You will be missed, you will be loved, and you will do amazing things for this world. Hej då.

Looking Forward:
The Organizing Team has commenced a much needed break and although we will still be minitoring our mails and staying in contact with the world, we will be spending as much time as humanly possible out of the office!
Planning for YIP8 is going strong and the curriculum will be online soon. When it is you can view it here! We are grateful for the support we have received from near and far in raising money for the Diversity Fund. It will make it possible for all of next years accepted participants to take part, but we do need more support! Please spread the word!
The Opening of YIP8 will be on the 30th of August at the White House at Kulturcentrum, all are welcome to join for the celebration and Fika! It is going to be another wild ride…!
The Newsletter
The Newsletter is a monthly mailing update on the life and times of YIP and is a wonderful way to remain connected. It is sent out once a month and gives an overview of what has happened, what is happening and what is on the horizon. Every quarter (3 months) we plan to put out a more in-depth issue that looks into the Organization of YIP from a similar lense.
Please spread the good word of YIP by forwarding to friends and family and inviting them to sign up!
